Bedford were 6th after spending most of the afternoon in 7th, 7th= or 8th place. A late flurry of good results in pole vault, Triple Jump, 5000m and the javelin pulled us up to give a 4.7 point margin over Yeovil (7th). However we are still in overall 7th spot, 2 points behind Yeovil, after two matches. We have to beat both Yeovil and Derby/Mansfield soundly in the next two matches to avoid relegation. It was a tough match we had no A string wins only a couple of second places. Our best event was javelin with Marcio Fernandes 2nd A 48.31 and Robson Angell 1st B 47.98.  In the pole vault Javier was 2nd A 3.88 and Richard Phelan 2nd B 3.28. Jack Benedickter won the B 400H 59.46. Joel Ametemu in his first outing at senior level came 2nd in the Triple Jump B string 12.01. Jean Mozobo got some good jumps in long jump 6.50 and triple jump 12.91 to score despite an injury. Andrew Headley ran a PB of 15:50.40 in the 5000m (4S) as did Will Mullins 15:51.63 (2B) Graeme Packman
